Double Gold For Kejda

Albion Park teenage cyclist Jackie Kejda has won her second gold medal at the Australian junior cycling championships at Mooloolaba, on the Queensland Sunshine Coast.

Representing NSW in the under 15 women's road cycling team, Kejda won her first gold medal of the championships last Wednesday in the time trial event and on Friday added another gold when she won the road race event.

Fellow NSW squad member Luke Dale, of Kings Point in the Shoalhaven area, raced well on Friday to take sixth place in the national under 19 men's road race.

Kejda and Dale are members of the Illawarra Academy of Sport cycling program.

Academy executive director Cheryl Battared described Dale's achievement as ``quite remarkable" and said he had been riding only a little more than 12 months.
